Seats: Limited to 14 Seats Pricing: Purchase monthly packs (Example: $135 for all Tuesday classes in August) Supplies Needed: Art Journal that is available at the studio for $14.99 (all other supplies are included) In today’s world, our children are constantly surrounded by screens, short-form content, and endless stimulation. Studio 3:30 offers something different: a dedicated time each week to slow down, create with intention, and explore the world through art. Designed for ages 8–12, this ongoing after-school art program follows a loose monthly curriculum centered around a different theme. Students explore each theme through a variety of artistic mediums while also developing their own personal ideas and longer-term creative projects. Throughout the year, students will practice sketching, watercolor, acrylic painting, soft pastels, mixed media collage, seasonal crafts, and more. Every student works in a personal art journal that becomes an extension of themselves—a place to experiment, reflect, practice, and express their unique voice. More than simply making finished artwork, Studio 3:30 emphasizes the creative process. Students learn to work through challenges, build patience, develop focus, plan multi-week projects, and gain confidence in solving creative problems. Along the way, they’ll explore color theory, composition, artistic techniques, and visual storytelling while discovering what inspires them. Art is about much more than paint and paper. Creative practice encourages observation, mindfulness, and self-expression. In a world filled with constant information and digital distractions, making art gives children the opportunity to slow down, be present, and connect with their thoughts and ideas. It teaches them to see the world with curiosity, express themselves with confidence, and understand that mistakes are simply part of the creative journey. Whether a child is brand new to art or already loves creating, Studio 3:30 is designed to nurture creativity, critical thinking, resilience, and a lifelong love of making. It isn’t about creating perfect artwork. It’s about building creative thinkers who feel confident exploring, experimenting, and expressing themselves.
