Join us for a relaxing watercolor study focused on the beauty of simple botanicals. In this class we will explore the foundational brush strokes used to create leaves, herbs and natural plant forms. This is a wonderful class for beginners as well as anyone looking to build confidence with watercolor techniques.

We will begin with a series of guided brush exercises where you will learn how to control pressure, create tapered strokes and build soft gradients using watercolor. From there we will move into painting small botanical studies inspired by garden herbs and foliage. Students will practice painting a variety of leaf shapes and delicate plant forms such as sprigs, clusters and airy botanical stems.

This class is perfect for anyone interested in botanical illustration, journaling, sketchbook practice or simply slowing down and enjoying the meditative rhythm of watercolor painting.
