Watercolor Wednesday: Pumpkin Study

Fall is making its way into Watercolor Wednesday! In this Pumpkin Study, we’ll practice sketching and painting pumpkins while exploring shape, highlights, shadows, layering, and those warm autumn tones that make a pumpkin glow.

We’ll be working with Daniel Smith watercolors on curated dot cards, on premium paper and practicing both sketching and watercolor techniques along the way.

All supplies are included. You’re also welcome to bring your own watercolor journal, paints, or favorite brushes if you’d like.

If you are new to watercolor, we recommend starting with our Watercolor 101 class to help you explore the medium and understand how it behaves. We will begin with a light warm-up, but we will be jumping right into the project, so a basic knowledge of watercolor is beneficial and key to having an enjoyable experience.
