Watercolor Gradient Skies: Practice Workshop
This class is all about practice, experimentation, and building confidence with watercolor!
We’ll explore how to create beautiful, seamless gradient skies using different pigments, blending techniques, and water control. You’ll practice on two different types of watercolor paper, 100% cotton rag and wood pulp, to see firsthand how paper quality affects the way watercolor moves, blends, and dries.
We’ll also experiment with lifting and blotting techniques to create soft, wispy clouds and atmospheric effects.
This is a practice workshop, not a finished painting class! We’re not aiming for perfection. Instead, we’ll focus on building muscle memory, working with speed and confidence, and getting more comfortable with the unpredictable nature of watercolor.
Beginner-friendly! All materials are provided, and no prior watercolor experience is necessary.
