Watercolor Wednesday: Violet Reflections

Join us for a relaxing watercolor session as we paint Violet Reflections, a peaceful landscape featuring a lone tree, distant mountains, glowing light, and beautiful reflections in shades of violet and lavender.

In this class, we’ll explore layering transparent washes, creating soft atmospheric backgrounds, and building depth through color and value.

We’ll be working with professional-grade Daniel Smith watercolors, known for their beautiful pigment selection, exceptional transparency, and stunning color mixes.

This project is approachable for beginners while still offering plenty of opportunities for more experienced painters to refine their skills. We’ll focus on letting the water do some of the work, embracing the loose and expressive nature of watercolor, and creating a painting that captures a feeling rather than every detail.
